Plot Summary of The Master of Destiny
In the land of Dahe Shenzhou, good and evil have been at odds for centuries. The righteous sects, united in their fight against the twelve demon sects, have long struggled to maintain balance. However, with the recent surge of the demon tide, the power of the demon sects has grown stronger, forcing the righteous sects into retreat, and pushing the realm to the brink of destruction.
Li Wannian, a low-ranking disciple from the righteous Jinyi Sect, has always lived a simple life, content to receive his salary and avoid conflict. However, everything changes when he faces a life-threatening crisis during a mission. In that moment, he discovers a strange and extraordinary power: the ability to resurrect on the spot after death. Even more astonishing, with each resurrection, Li gains points based on his performance, which can be used to enhance his cultivation.
To grow stronger, Li must die—over and over—each time in a heroic, spectacular, and meaningful way. The more dramatic and inspiring his death, the more powerful he becomes.
Will Li Wannian rise to the challenge and become the greatest master in the world? His path to power demands sacrifices and courage, as he faces death again and again, all for the sake of justice and destiny.
Episode 3:
Li’s power begins to draw attention, both from allies and enemies. As his cultivation improves, he attracts the notice of the higher-ups in the Jinyi Sect, who are skeptical about his rapid rise and the mysterious nature of his power. While some view him as a potential asset, others are wary of the cost of his repeated deaths.
During a major battle with the demon sects, Li faces an enemy more powerful than anything he’s encountered before. He sacrifices himself once more, but this time, the consequences are more severe. His resurrection takes longer than expected, and when he returns, he feels different—more powerful but also more burdened. The toll of repeatedly dying begins to show, and Li wonders if there’s a limit to how many times he can truly return.
